Why Made-to-Order Streetwear Beats Fast Fashion

Made-to-order clothing means we print your tee after you buy it, not before. That's slow fashion in India, and it's the opposite of how the big fast-fashion sites work. They guess what'll sell, print thousands, and hope. Whatever doesn't move gets discounted to death or shredded. We'd rather make one heavyweight tee that's actually yours than warehouse a thousand nobody asked for.

So yes, there's a wait. Most orders arrive in 5 to 9 business days. Here's why that trade is worth it.

What made-to-order clothing actually saves

Fast fashion runs on overproduction. A brand orders 10,000 units of a design, sells 6,000, and the other 4,000 become deadstock. That leftover stock is the industry's dirty secret. It gets landfilled or burned because storing it costs more than destroying it. Nobody ever wore those clothes.

Made to order flips the maths. Nothing gets printed until someone commits to it, so there's no pile of unsold shirts and no waste built into the model. You're not paying a hidden tax for the six other sizes that got trashed. Every piece we make has a name attached before the fabric hits the press.

The wait buys you real quality

When a shirt is made for you, we're not racing a warehouse clock, and that shows up in the fabric. Our tees are 240 GSM heavyweight cotton, thick enough to hold its shape and heavy enough that it won't cling in Indian humidity. Most fast-fashion tees sit around 150 to 180 GSM. You feel the difference the second you pick one up, and you feel it again after twenty washes when the cheap one has gone thin and see-through.

Heavyweight cotton behaves differently:

  • It drapes with weight instead of hanging flat and flimsy, which is the whole point of a proper oversized fit.
  • The collar keeps its structure instead of curling after a few wears.
  • Prints sit into a denser weave, so the design doesn't crack or fade as fast.
  • It survives the Indian laundry cycle: buckets, hard water, aggressive spin and all.

None of that happens by accident. It happens because we build each order instead of stamping out volume.

Why cash on delivery has a fee

You can pay online, or choose cash on delivery for a ₹49 COD fee on orders under ₹3,000, where it is offered. The fee covers what cash on delivery costs us, including the risk of a refused parcel. Every piece is made to order, so a refused parcel is a shirt nobody else can wear, shipped across the country and back.

Pay online and it goes straight into production. Choose cash on delivery and we confirm the order with you first, by phone or email, and we may contact you more than once to do it. Either way, it is built for you.

The honest downside

We won't pretend the wait doesn't exist. If you need a tee tomorrow, fast fashion wins, so buy the throwaway. Made to order isn't for the person who wants instant everything. It's for the person who'd rather own three shirts that last three years than a drawer full of thin cotton that pills by month two.

The 5 to 9 business days is production plus pan-India shipping (up to 15 for remote pincodes). We design in India, so nothing's stuck in a customs queue. You know exactly what you're waiting for, and you're waiting for something built, not pulled off a shelf.

Slow fashion, sharp fits

Our designs pull from racing and car culture, Japan, animals, and mythology, all original artwork. Built for the city after dark, in fits that actually sit right. Browse the current made-to-order drops to see what's live, or head straight to the heavyweight tees if you already know what you want.

Buy less, buy heavier, wait a beat. That's the deal, and it beats a landfill's worth of shirts nobody wanted.
